AIDSVideos.org Web-based Redesign for Video Pages
I am helping AidsVideos.org non-profit project with implementation and design to support their content management and web-based infra-structure. Currently AIDSVideos.org offers video tutorials on HIV education available in various languages. The videos pages are acessible only through video hosting web sites, like YouTube, so the user needs to go back and forth to visit specific videos and then come back to the Web site to get additional information.
This redesign work involves changes to the content generation system so that the video elements are kept under the web site pages, using embed tags. This model should allow users to visit the educational videos from the site pages and be able to get additional information that is related to the video and that is recommended by video authors, such as video transcripts. We are also hoping that this design will attract the attention of new contributors so they can work on video transcripts on their languages, create new video education materials, or contribute in other relevant ways.
